Get ready to groove because Broadway’s sensational “Moulin Rouge!” is welcoming back the iconic Boy George! Mark your calendars for March 18, 2025, when he’ll take the stage as the flamboyant Harold Zidler for a limited engagement that wraps up on May 25 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. But here’s the twist: starting March 25, Boy George will sit out Tuesday evening shows, so an alternate performer will fill his fabulous shoes.
Currently, the role of Zidler is in the capable hands of Robert Petkoff, who’s stepping in for Austin Durant until January 5, 2025. Boy George previously dazzled audiences in this role from February to May 2024, and his Broadway history doesn’t stop there. He wowed audiences as Leigh Bowery in the 2003 musical “Taboo,” for which he penned a Tony Award-nominated score. As the lead singer of the legendary Culture Club, his musical talents are undeniable!
