With seating for 1,932 patrons, making it one of the 10 largest theaters on Broadway, The Lyric Theatre, located on 43rd Street, is where the Broadway musical Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is performed. My partner and I managed 2 tickets for Saturday night's performance during Broadway week. Two days before the start of the show, I received practical information and the tickets by email. Upon entering as first-timers, we were greeted by the staff after conducting bag checks and going through a metal detector. The beautiful architectural interior, decorated with a Harry Potter vibe from the carpets to the wallpaper to even the light fixtures, is divided into three distinct sections: the orchestra, dress circle, and balcony. There were several bars where one could get snacks and drinks delivered to your seats. Small souvenir store located on several levels, but it’s pricey. Some die-hard Harry Potter patrons arrived decked out with robes. Luckily, we scored great seats in Orchestra Row K. Our seats were somewhat narrow, low, comfortable, and relatively roomy, as it’s on an aisle. The show started promptly at 7 p.m. The story was very well paced, never a dull moment—the 3+ hours flew by so quickly. The staff were organized, friendly, and helpful. The visual effects were jaw-dropping, amazing sound design, and of course the actors' performances made the whole presentation one of the best Broadway experiences one will never forget. It’s worth the money, which we can recommend.

Great production of Harry Porter and the Cursed Child at Lyric Theatre!!Amazing actors, smooth transitions and lots of surprising effects. Potterheads would understand the story while others will take time to get some of the plots. Nevertheless, everyone had a great experience! It’s a 3.5 hours show including an intermission of 15-20 mins. The show started right on time.We carried our own water and had no problem! There is a bar so you can get snacks and drinks delivered to your seats. A small souvenir store as well.

Harry Potter and the cursed child was greatly produced! Die hard potter heads will love the plot. The magic and story is still stunning for those who aren’t too familiar with the plot. Snacks, drinks and souvenirs are available for purchase. Seats were comfortable.

Gorgeous theater! We had an amazing time, all 3.5 hours worth, seeing Harry Potter & the Cursed Child here. Spectacular production from all the special effects, sound design, and of course the actors' performances themselves. The only negative aspect, and it's non-trivial, is the seat quality. We were in a 4 seat box and the seats were terribly uncomfortable, and grew increasingly painful to sit on with each passing hour. They should reinvest some of the profits from that $20 butter beer and reupholster those seats 🙂

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a must-watch Broadway show. After trying to find a good broadway show, we finally decided to watch HP. No regret and we were so lucky to get two seats at the Orchestra area, literally 6 seats away from the stage. All the effects and performers were awesome, 10 out of 10.

What a great theater and experience. Saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Everything was simply well done. From walking in and experiences to food delivery to your seat. What a great time! Note that there are more food/drink options in person vs the food delivery options. Still worth it. Seated in dress circle G119. Great seats.

We attended the performance of Harry Potter & The Cursed Child at the Lyric Theatre in NYC, and it was a truly incredible experience. The theater itself is grand and beautiful, with a welcoming and friendly staff. The show featured an outstanding cast and stunning costumes. The illustrations and special effects were absolutely mind blowing. Although I’m not a diehard Harry Potter fan, this show proved to be entirely worth it.

I watched Harry potter and the cursed child. It was amazing! It didn’t include singing but it had dance and all the great effects and of course actings. Actors were amazing and I loved the story too. Theater was pretty well organized and they have a bathroom only at the downstairs. They give you one intermission time during the show and the show is 3 and half hours so you should make sure that you’re okay with that 😂. It was definitely worth the money and I enjoyed the show so much! 🙂

Amazing experience. First time going to the lyric to see harry potter. My wife and I got the lounge pass along with it. Definitely worth it as it gives you a nice place to hang out before the show and during the intermission. Harry potter themed everything was great and the show itself was fantastic with a great story and really good effects. The only negative feedback I have is that the butterbeer doesn't taste the same as it does from the wizarding world, too much butterscotch.Definitely recommend!

Came here for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and it was the highlight of my NYC trip. Loved every bit of it. Visual effects were jaw dropping and the whole presentation was one of the best Broadway experiences I have ever had. Highly recommend experience for the Harry Potter fans. Don't judge the production by the Book. This story is no good on paper but works great on Broadway!

Going to my first play was really fun, even though the seats were too close together and there was always a rush for the bathrooms at break time. The theater staff were organized and the security checks were good but not annoying. The show, aimed at kids, had lots of cool effects that were hard to figure out. Despite the tight seating, the theater had a great atmosphere, especially for the Harry Potter show. I'd definitely recommend it for a magical night out.
