I'm ashamed to say that I am 28 years old and this was my first time to Broadway. But I am delighted to say it was a truly amazing experience. It is everything I thought it would be and more. This beautiful theatre was only a 10 minute walk from NY Penn Station and my friend and I saw Aladdin! The theatre was gorgeous, clean and the staff was helpful and welcoming. The performers were absolutely perfect. Their voices were phenomenal. The sets were stunning. The effects were exhilarating and my face hurts from smiling the whole time! During the opening number I actually had tears of joy. I probably sound a bit dramatic but I am a fan of the theatre after all!!! I would definitely recommend coming here to share the experience, you will not be disappointed. One thing I could say was the seats weren't very comfortable, but I am sure they are just old. The theatre could probably use a revamp in that area because big butted people may be uncomfortable especially sitting next to other big butted people lol

Aladdin on Broadway is a dazzling spectacle that masterfully blends nostalgia with fresh, innovative performances. From the moment the curtain rises, the vibrant colors, intricate set designs, and stunning costumes transport the audience straight into the magical world of Agrabah. The show stays true to the spirit of the beloved Disney film, but it also brings something new to the table. The musical numbers are as catchy and uplifting as ever, with classics like "A Whole New World" and "Friend Like Me" being clear crowd favorites. The choreography is energetic and dynamic, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish. One of the standout aspects of Aladdin is the incredible talent of the cast. The actor playing the Genie, in particular, steals the show with his comedic timing, charisma, and powerful voice. His performance is both hilarious and heartwarming, making him an absolute highlight. The leads portraying Aladdin and Jasmine are equally impressive, delivering strong vocal performances and bringing genuine chemistry to their roles. The show also introduces some new songs and characters that fit seamlessly into the story, enhancing the overall experience rather than detracting from the original material. These additions help flesh out the narrative and provide more depth to the characters.Visually, Aladdin is nothing short of breathtaking. The production makes excellent use of stagecraft, with mesmerizing special effects that make the magic carpet ride, in particular, a moment of pure wonder. The lighting and sound design further enhance the immersive quality of the show, making it feel as though you're truly stepping into a fantastical world.🎼Aladdin on Broadway is a must-see for Disney fans and theater lovers alike. It offers a perfect blend of nostalgia, humor, and spectacle, making for an unforgettable night at the theater. Whether you're revisiting the story as a longtime fan or experiencing it for the first time, Aladdin is sure to leave you with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.🎉It was even more memorable to see the final performance of the four actors who played Aladdin for a longtime. We wish them the best in their new endeavors.

Aladdin, Broadway NY 🇺🇸Our very first Broadway adventure, and we were absolutely thrilled by everything - the performances, costumes, and music. The magic carpet scene truly took our breath away 😘Genie was the standout star, delivering the phenomenal performance that exceeded our expectations. Bravo to the entire cast for staying so true to the original! And let's not forget—the New Amsterdam Theatre is stunning.🔺 The downsides? The seats are a bit tight with limited legroom, and the ticket prices are pretty steep. But honestly, the experience is worth every penny 😋✨❤️

I visited New Amsterdam theatre this summer and I was thrilled by the historic venue for its stunning architecture and as a prime location for in Times Square for Broadway shows. Hosting Disney's *Aladdin*, the theatre provides an ideal setting for this magical and visually spectacular production. The New Amsterdam Theatre's interior is breathtaking, featuring intricate Art Nouveau design elements, including elaborate carvings, (shown in the video bellow), and plush seating, which contribute to an immersive theater experience. The venue itself is spacious, yet it retains a sense of intimacy, allowing for great sightlines from nearly every seat in the house.Aladdin at the New Amsterdam Theatre is particularly well-suited for this venue, with the theater's grand and opulent setting enhancing the show's vibrant and colorful aesthetic. The production is filled with dazzling special effects, impressive choreography, and beloved songs, making it a hit with audiences of all ages. The stage design and technical aspects, such as the flying carpet scene, are especially well-executed, and the theater's state-of-the-art facilities ensure that these moments are both seamless and awe-inspiring.The theater staff is often praised for being friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive overall experience. However, like many popular Broadway venues, the New Amsterdam Theatre can be quite crowded, especially during peak times, so it's advisable to arrive early to navigate the bustling Times Square area and find your seat without stress.

Beautiful theater! It’s small and intimate with delicate designs all over the ceilings and walls. I watched Aladdin here and the set was absolutely fantastic!Of course, drinks were overpriced so be mindful of your purchases. Leg room is pretty tight too.

It's was a great show.Ambiance was wonderful. There is a vibe of ancient. The only thing is the space was very narrow and steep. It has a feeling of dropping down. It was jam-packed.The service was good and nice. The bathroom was clean. But they closed it at the end of the show.We enjoyed the Broadway show at New York. ...

Boring, basic, and bad. The only reason this show is even a bit enjoyable is thanks to the Genie, which is phenomenal! However, every other character is a downgrade from the original movie and just plain unfunny. They made these three random characters to replace Abu but they bring this production down by a lot, including their various musical sequences which are the worst parts of the show. Iago is also not a good character, he is portrayed as a human, and his over the top mannerisms and dialogue makes you want to roll your eyes and leave the theater. The sets are also so cheap compared to other Broadway shows. Seriously, it felt like a school production of Aladdin! Even the carpet ride, which is astounding to look at it floating, is watered down by the singing and unsatisfying performances. At least it had “Friend Like Me,” making everybody clap along and not go to sleep! Props to Disney for having a show this bad stay on Broadway for so long.

Overall it is a good experience, good music and great performances by the cast. It is a Disney production so I give it 4 starsThe let down is that they deviated from the movie set up.There is no Abu....Aladin without Abu is not Aladin...Instead they added 3 hood friends to supplement abu's absence. Then Yago is a human character not a bird... Come-on!!! They should use a puppet as they do on The Lion King, but the biggest disappointment was prince Ali's arrival to Agraba...the song was slowed down there was not even an attempt to make it the big production it should be, I fell asleep 3 times on some of the filler songs ....Glad we went to see it but it is not a repeat.Lion King for the 3rd time here we come. The venue is awesome!

The Aladdin stage show in New York was an unforgettable and enchanting experience! From the very first moment to the final curtain, the cast took us on a magical journey filled with adventure. The Genie was outstanding, bringing the stage to life with his humorous personality and vibrant energy. Jasmine shone with her beauty and strength, perfectly balancing grace and boldness. Aladdin, with his bravery and optimism, captured the hearts of both young and old. And the villainous sorcerer added a thrilling touch of mystery and excitement to the performance. It was a night full of magic and laughter, enjoyed by audiences of all ages. A truly must-see show!

Pros-Aladdin was a wonderful production! The Genie, Iago, and Aladdin were outstanding. Other actors were excellent. The show was engaging and exciting. Go see it if you haven't.Staff was great with directing and assisting. Remember, prices for snacks and food are high, but that's every theater.Con - The theater seats are closely arranged and tight. Anyone with knee problems may opt to sit in a box (we were on the bottom in the front).

Love it! Love it! Love it! It was so full of great emotions, I even got chills. The costumes, the decor - everything was WOW! Only one mistake I made - I should have grabbed a jacket. The AC was little chill. I am definitely going to more musicals and never regret of going to Aladdin.Satisfied a lot

The box seats are pretty awful as you can't see a whole corner of the stage. Would have chosen some further away vs these. Pretty small stage area. Aladin was good 👍🏼 not great, but good. 🙂

Our second Broadway experience and we were absolutely delighted by the performances, the costumes, the set pieces. The magic carpet scene especially was mind blowing. Genie and Iago both pleasantly surprised us with their phenomenal performances. Very very well done and true to source. Hats off to all the performers. The new Amsterdam theatre is absolutely gorgeous. The seats are a bit cramped with little leg room however.

First Broadway show in NYC. We entered the lottery the day before and were so lucky to win two tickets for $35 each. The cast - fantastic, each character played their role so well, especially the genie and Iago. A slight twist in the original movie, felt that the first act was better than the second. Definitely worth going. We'll be on the lookout for more Broadway shows in the future

My daughter loved the musical so much as to say she enjoyed it more than Wicked (gasp.) I am guessing because she is more familiar with the Aladdin story vs Oz and this was fresh in her mind or she simply fell in love with their amazing costumes! After months of trying for the lottery tickets we finally won and it was well worth the countless attempts. The seats were amazing and every single musical number was wonderful. The Genie stole the show and commanded the stage with his presence. Not to be outdone Jasmine and Aladdin were equally as much of a force and the ensemble was fantastic. After 10 years of being on Broadway, who knows how long this will continue!ShinningShimmeringSplendid!3 wishes 🧞♂️ What will yours be?🤩❤️

One gets to experience the splendor of the old in a Great White Way musical at the New Amsterdam Theatre that has been amazingly restored by Disney. These painstaking details are no longer found in the finishes and decor of newer theaters. The building is simply beautiful with the embellished decorative moldings that adorn every floor to the fixtures that are part of the whole ambiance 🤩Along with the history of this theater is the amazing musical that is Disney’s Aladdin🧞♂️What are your 3 wishes?

Aladdin is a spectacular show with an amazing cast that will delight. This is a show for all ages. The theater was beautifully restored by Disney back to its original splendor. They don’t build them like they used to with murals, paintings, sculptures, and decorative finishes. Disney really gave the theater ‘A whole new world, A dazzling place I never knew’!

Great theater, very nice interior, a lot of stucco on the walls that creates a special atmosphere. The seating is a little bit tight, but this is normal to Broadway shows. Restrooms are clean. I really enjoyed it. Went to that Alladin show, amazing performance, actors outdid themselves, decorations were abundant and created the feeling that you are there, at the middle east, almost felt like Saddam is around the corner somewhere.

Wow! We were completely blown away by this show! Every scene brought new surprises, the cast was incredibly talented, the technical production was flawless, and the energy was over the top! This is a MUST SEE show - especially if you have young kids, but even if you don't, this style/level of show will reset your expectations of what Broadway is capable of producing.
