Saw Hell's Kitchen - a really good musical. Truly worth seeing. Theatre building old but nice. Good view of the stage, acoustics and ventilation, but temperature was turned down really low. A striking contrast with the warm weather outside, so some people were shivering. Due to the age of the building, not enough leg room for tall people. In other respects, great.

Musical: 5Theater: 3My Bestie arranged for us to see Hell’s Kitchen on a Friday evening in August. We were both excited, we lucked up on parking and headed to the venue. The Shubert theatre is a NYC landmarked theater built/opened in 1913. This theatre has three levels and horribly tight seats with absolutely NO leg room.I always find the tight seating perplexing, yes people are generally larger in size now than in the 1900’s. However, at that time the arts were exclusively for the elite and wealthy. Historically speaking the women wore dresses with an abundance of layers and excess fabric. Not to mention huge petticoats under their skirts. How did they sit??? Nonetheless, I digress. Now for the show… HELL’S KITCHEN was such a wonderful experience. The music, of course written and produce by Alicia Keys, had her touch and hits incorporated. Was so good! At times you will feel like you wanna both sing and dance, just keep in mind you are at a musical not a concert. Even the storyline was good, I appreciated that it was not technically “autobiographical”, you can depict the parts that may be closely related to her upbringing but that was not the focus. In addition the set design, was different, I enjoyed how the musicians where apart of the set at times and not just off stage/ below in the “pit”.We highly enjoyed, and are already planning to return.Just A Note:The restrooms on the lower level are larger, so the line moves faster.

What a cute charming little theatre! If you can catch a musical here, go! We saw Hell’s Kitchen here… amazing! I think every seat is a great seat! You literally walk from the outside INTO the actual theater! Which I thought was pretty cool! Bathroom lines are minimal (men) and the drink lines went by super quick! Staff were very friendly and helpful!

Saw Hell's Kitchen here, outstanding show! Really good views and clean. I am 6'5" and the seat was a little tight, not the worst on Broadway but tight. I sat in Mezzanine C 27. It was an end seat but it was still behind a seat in a weird angle that made it not the most comfortable. The two rows in front of me had better spacing on the end and would have been better, but just be careful on where you choose to sit if you are a taller person like myself.

I saw Hell’s Kitchen here and loved it! A touching play about Alicia Key’s life. The theater itself was gorgeous and even though I was high up in the balcony, I had a great view.

We arrived for Hell’s Kitchen and the show was out of this world! One of the best musicals I have experienced! The Theatre, well it’s old! We had mezzanine seating and slightly obstructed views! The seats are very tight and small! My poor hubby who is over 6ft had is knees cramped on the seats in front of us. I am below average size and I couldn’t stand the person next to me into my seat with their shoulders and arms but not their fault they also had no space! On that level we also had 3 stall restroom for ladies and so many in line that some missed the start of the show after the intermission. If you aren’t in a box seat you are gonna be uncomfortable. So I didn’t like the theatre but the staff were all very nice and helpful. Show is Amazing and I got my playbill signed afterwards.

I enjoyed the show I saw very much! I saw Hell's Kitchen. The music was phenomenal! My seats were at the top of the theatre and it was all stairs. A challenge for my friend with knee problems.I find that most of the theatres in NYC lack adequate leg space for anyone tall. At 6'2", I always have struggles sitting comfortably. My tip is to get an aisle seat. You can stretch your legs periodically.

We saw Hell’s Kitchen on Broadway and had a fantastic time. The story is relatable and pulled me in right away, and the performances were outstanding. The theater itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with great acoustics and comfortable seating. It made for an all-around enjoyable experience. However, the security process is a bit chaotic compared to other shows. A single line only and the security check is only one door instead of two like other theaters. This should be something they should improve.

Loved watching Hell's Kitchen! However, the theatre seats were too small, with not a lot of leg room. Additionally the layout of bathrooms was not ideal. There were only 2 stalls, and the line cut into the stairs and made things chaotic. There was another bathroom 2 floors down. The concession stand was also poorly placed right behind the seats, so the lines blocked off traffic a lot and made it hard to get to and from seats. The view from the balcony was good! I was able to enjoy the whole show, without any obstructions.

Went to watch 'Hells kitchen' at this theatre. The show was wonderful, but I can't say the same for the theatre. The seats we very steep and the leg space was too crammed. Check out the pictures. It was a 2 hour long show, after which I couldn't feel my legs! I've been to numerous theaters to watch Broadway shows, and this one was the far worst of all.

The balcony seating was a bit tight not enough leg room and the theater was hot barely felt the AC at times. The theater is beautifully light and very clean. The concession stand prices are a bit on the pricey side. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere. The musical Hell’s Kitchen I give 5 stars, it was a great show definitely recommend to go see it. Went to a Wednesday matinee to see Hell’s Kitchen here and it was amazing. The show was absolutely amazing. The theater was packed - not one empty seat but the staff handled the crowd extremely well. Entrance lines, bathroom lines and concession lines moved efficiently despite the crowd. Beautiful iconic theater.
